Historic Building Renaissance in the Garment District

The adjoining McCarren Millinery and Hershberger & Rosenthal buildings at 915 Broadway—once important locations in Kansas City’s Garment District—are slated for new life as a residential apartment property.

Yarco Development has announced that they have secured financing and begun construction for this historic preservation effort. Rau Construction and Yaeger Architecture are providing the building and design expertise for the project.

Mike Grube, director of development for Yarco, said his company “is grateful for the support we received from Broadway Realty Organization, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Associated Bank, Brotherhood Bank, Enhanced Historic Credit Partner and Commerce Bank.”

Promising what it calls “luxe amenities” at the 44-unit property, Yarco plans to have 915 Broadway “move-in ready” in Summer of 2017.
