The former Silpada Designs headquarters in Lenexa will soon be the new office and warehouse of Heart to Heart International. A worldwide humanitarian aid organization, HHI credits recent growth for the need to move to this expanded facility. Just this year, HHI received and distributed more than $200 million in medicines and medical products. Moving to a larger combined office and warehouse space will accommodate this increase in products, and make room for future growth.
“Looking ahead, we knew we needed more space to accommodate our ever-growing operations. This building will not only allow us more space now, but will also afford us the opportunity for growth in the future. Operating out of a larger facility enables us to improve the health of more people around the world, which has been the mission of Heart to Heart International since our formation in 1992,” Jim Mitchum, HHI CEO, said in a statement from the organization.
Not only does the organization respond to domestic and international disasters, ship medicines and medical supplies around the world, it also provides humanitarian relief by assisting other nonprofits, programs and health clinics with their missions. “We are enormously glad to have found the perfect building right here in Lenexa so we can accomplish our longtime goal of housing our office and warehouse together,” Kim Carroll, HHI COO, also said in the statement.
HHI expects to make the move to this facility during the first quarter of 2019.
