HCA Midwest Health announced Josh Gill has been appointed the role of chief operating officer of Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Gill assumed his new position on August 1, accoridng to the announcement.
He most recently served as vice president of operations at HCA Healthcare’s StoneSprings Hospital Center in Dulles, Virginia, where he oversaw a 35% growth in surgical services and projects, including two operating rooms, labor and delivery unit renovations and various medical office building expansions.
“His expertise and achievements in advancing significant hospital expansions and key services growth will help build on our culture of high-quality, accessible healthcare and enhance patient care,” Lee’s Summit Medical Center CEO Gabe Clements said.
Gill also has a seasoned background in the HCA Healthcare system. He served as an administrative resident for the Reston Hospital Center, a 231-bed hospital in Reston, Virginia in 2019. He then took the role of assistant administrator at Reston in 2020.
At Reston Hospital Center, Gill led the development of campus expansion projects, including a $16 million inpatient renovation, a $10 million inpatient rehab expansion and operational improvements.
Gill earned his bachelor of arts from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina.
