HCA Midwest Health Promotes New CEO for Lee’s Summit Medical Center

HCA Midwest Health has appointed Gabe Clements as CEO of the Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Prior to his new role, Clements served as COO of Lee’s Summits Medical Center for four years beginning in 2020.

He joined HCA Healthcare in 2001 as a physical therapist at Cartersville Medical Center in Georgia before serving as director of rehabilitation services at Lee’s Summit Medical Center in 2006. In 2012, he was promoted to Centerpoint Medical Center’s administrative director of respiratory and rehabilitation services and then advanced to the hospital’s vice president of operations role in 2014.

“I’ve always been inspired by Lee’s Summit Medical Center’s focus on delivering high-quality patient care, along with its culture of collaboration,” Clements said in a release.

Additionally, Clements currently serves as executive sponsor of HCA Midwest Health’s Veterans Colleague Network.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Washburn University and received a master’s degree and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Kansas.

As a member of Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council and the Rotary Club of Lee’s Summit, Clements is already ingrained in the community.
