By Madison Parry

Now in its thirteenth year, the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City has turned virtual this year. Events will be online and will continue to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship in the region and worldwide.

In 2020, virtual gatherings have become the norm. For the first time, many annual events and celebrations have moved online, including Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City.

Marking its thirteenth year, Global Entrepreneurship Week consists of a number of events dedicated to celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship in the region and worldwide.

Past years saw events held near the 18th and Vine District. This year, all events will be viewed virtually, from home.

Although organizers had considered canceling Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City events this year, planning efforts were not deterred despite COVID-19 lingering.

Through the help of a platform software called PheedLoop, viewers tuning in can build an individual, organized agenda to attend events.

Included in the software are networking capabilities that help participants connect with others, allowing viewers locally, across state and beyond to network virtually.

All events are also being recorded and will be posted, for those that are not able to attend in real-time.
