Five Elms Capital Invests in TX Software Business

Overland Park-based Five Elms Capital, which invests in business-to-business software companies, has invested in an Austin, Texas-based SaaS firm.

Though details about the investment amount were not released Fred Coulson, Five Elms’ founder and managing partner, will take a board position on the firm, called ActiveProspect, which provides lead optimization services to a variety of companies.

“Consumers want control over the companies that contact them, and companies need to identify their best prospects in real-time while respecting consumer privacy. ActiveProspect’s unique ability to do both extremely well gives them a huge market opportunity and significant runway for growth,” Coulson said, in a press release.

ActiveProspect’s revenues apparently grew by 50 percent last year. It counts mortgage company LendingTree and media corporation Meredith among its clients.
