Ferrellgas Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

Liberty-based Ferrellgas Partners LP announced the appointment of Andrew Safran to its Board of Directors and several updates to the Board’s team and operations.

Safran joined the Board effective May 21. He brings more than three decades of investment banking and private equity experience, with a deep specialization in natural resources and energy infrastructure, according to a release.

In addition, Ferrellgas also announced that Pamela Breuckmann has been appointed vice chair of the Board, effective May 22. Breuckmann has also served as the president and CEO of Ferrell Capital, Inc.—a subsidiary of Ferrellgas Partners LP— since 2007.

Chairman of the Board, Jim Ferrell, will continue in his role. He assumed leadership of the company in 1965.

Andrew brings decades of leadership experience across the energy, infrastructure, and financial sectors, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Board. In addition, Pamela’s appointment as Vice Chair reflects her deep commitment to the Company and her strong contributions to the Board over many years,” Ferrell said in the release.

These updates to the Board follow the announcement of Ferrellgas’ renewed extended credit agreement and refinancing of senior notes due in 2026. In March, Ferrellgas completed the conversion of all outstanding Class B Units into Class A Units. These recent transactions have allowed Ferrellgas to have financial flexibility and a more stable foundation for future growth, the company stated in the release.

Ferrellgas Partners and its subsidiaries serve propane to customers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Its Blue Rhino propane exchange brand is sold at over 64,000 locations nationwide.
