De Soto $390M Industrial Park Nears Completion on Phase One

The newest industrial park in De Soto will conclude the first phase of the first large distribution center in the summer.

Contegra Construction Co.’s 1 million-square-foot distribution center, located at 10200 Edgerton Road, will see its first bullying complete sometime in the summer. The first building of six.

The phased 370-acre industrial park is developed by Prairie Village-based Flint Development estimated to cost $390 million and will include approximately 4.7 million square feet of Class A industrial space.

Panasonic is leasing half of the building, according to a lease signed by the company in August. The lease is intended to aid the $4 billion Panasonic 4.7 million-square-foot electric vehicle battery gigafactory, set to be completed in 2025.

The 40-foot-high building features 98 dock doors with four drive-through doors and can expand to 168 dock doors with parking available for 515 cars and 251 trailers.

Flint Development is developing 33 projects across 25 states with offices in Kansas City, St. Louis and Chicago.
