CDC Issues Worker Guidance for COVID-19 Exposure

The CDC has issued guidance for critical infrastructure employees who might have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 to return to work.

Critical-infrastructure employees are considered those who work in 16 different sectors, including those in law enforcement, janitorial staff, those in food and agriculture, critical infrastructure, information technology, transportation and others.

The guidance includes taking peoples’ temperatures before they start working, continued monitoring of symptoms by a supervisor, wearing a mask, social distancing from other employees, and the disinfection and cleaning of work spaces.

Workers who become sick on theĀ  job should be sent home immediately.
