C-Suite Movement at Associated Wholesale Grocers

The area’s second-largest private company has a new Executive Vice President and new Senior Vice President. Scott Welman has taken over as the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for AWG.  In addition to that move, AWG also announced that Stephanie Becker has been promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Welman has worked with AWG since 2004 where he started as Vice President of Legal Affairs.  He helped lead the start-up of the company’s military supply subsidiary, Always Fresh. He is taking over the lead of all aspects of new store and business development and strategic growth opportunities.

Becker started with the legal department at AWG in 2005 and was promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel just two years ago.  She will now lead all legal affairs for the company and its subsidiaries.
