California-based BR Companies will bring a new 25-story residential high-rise to Downtown Kansas City.
BR Companies has been developing plans for this $250 million project to revitalize a “barren area of Downtown” by adding a new tower. The 25-story high-rise building will stand 385 feet tall featuring more than 300 mix-use residential units and 24,000 square feet of retail programming, according to a release.
The tower will be located at the southwest corner of 800 Grand Boulevard.
“Development tells a story of human progress,” CEO of BR Companies, Juan Banos, said in the release. “This project will build on Kansas City’s cultural and economic growth and contribute to its remarkable place in history.”
The development will create temporary and permanent jobs in the area. Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2025.
Hoefer Welker was the architect for this project and Clarkson Construction Co. and JE Dunn Construction will be joint general contractors.
