Baseball at Kauffman in July?

Major League Baseball is considering a proposal to start the regular season in July, with teams playing at their home stadiums, as long as it doesn’t violate states’ reopening rules.

Though the games would be played at the stadiums, the current plan would be not to have in-person fans at the games.

The season proposal, which would be 82 games, comes at a time when the league is losing major revenue because of a lack of both in-person and televised games.

MLB’s proposal is subject to approval by the players’ association, which is expected to review it this week.
