AN EXCELLENT NIGHT FOR AN EXCELLENT CAUSE

Premium whiskeys. Specialty beer. Fine cigars. Oh—and some smokin’ hot wheels parked outside. The finer things in life summoned hundreds of people to Outlaw Cigar’s Johnson County location Nov. 6, a fund-raising event for the KC Pet Project. It was also a “watch” party of sorts—both for Toner Jewelers’ display of classic Rolexes, and in anticipation of their new store opening this spring at Prairiefire.

Toner Jewelers Night of Excellence, a collaboration with Outlaw Cigar and Ingram’s, featured sports cars provided by partner Aristocrat Motors, food and servers by Twin Peaks, bourbon-tasting by Dark Horse Distillery, Minsky’s Burlesque Lager on tap, appearances by Chiefs Ambassadors and an auction of items provided by Chief Ambassador Anthony Davis.

Proceeds from the event will help KC Pet Project, which cares for 8,000 pets a year. The organization’s goal is to reduce the euthanizing of healthy, treatable pets in Kansas City with a combination of progressive and lifesaving programs and promotion of effective animal-control policies.
