AMC Increases Its Global Footprint

AMC Theatres, headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, is now the world’s largest theatre exhibitor, having completed its acquisition of Carmike Cinemas. The deal, reported by AMC at approximately $1.1 billion, including the assumption of Carmike debt, puts AMC in control of some 900 theatres with more than 10,000 screens around the world.
