Ambrose Leaving Central Missouri

Dr. Chuck Ambrose is leaving his post as President of the University of Central Missouri and taking over as the CEO of Knowledge Works in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ambrose took over as president of UCM in 2010.  Prior to that, he served as president of Pfeiffer University in North Carolina.

In the press release from Knowledge Works, Ambrose said “As a career educator, I am very excited to join a talented team of leaders at KnowledgeWorks as president and CEO. I am grateful for my journey that has been focused on providing students with the tools they need to be successful for college, career, and a meaningful life, which is consistent with KnowledgeWorks’ mission. I look forward to this opportunity to continue my service to students in a position that provides a national platform for further building innovative practices, policy transformation and scalable implementation of personalized learning and competency-based education.”

In a tweet this morning, UCM congratulated Ambrose on his new job and thanked him for his leadership. Ambrose replied, “My heart is full and our family will always be grateful to be a part of the @UCentralMO family. 8 years in Missouri and 12 years @Pfeiffer1885 represents educators who have a passion to help students complete college and alumni who serve others every day through life and work.”
