Alliant Insurance Services Hires Jeff Severino as VP of Benefits Team in Kansas City

Alliant Insurance Services announced that Jeff Severino will join as vice president within its Employee Benefits Group and will be based in Kansas City.

In his new role in Kansas City, Severino will work with clients to develop tailored programs, drawing on a broad background spanning brokerage, underwriting, and client advisory, according to a release.

Severino will work from the Alliant Kansas City office located at 7400 College Boulevard, Suite 350, Overland Park. Alliant’s main headquarters is located in Irvine, California.

While in the firm’s Employee Benefits Group, Severino will work with the Alliant Affinity team.

Severino brings 25 years of insurance industry experience to the role with expertise in property and casualty, professional liability, management liability, and cyber programs.

Before he joined Alliant, Severino served as senior vice president at MSI, an insurance agency based in Tampa, for nearly two years, where he oversaw management liability programs. Prior to his time with MSI, Severino also served multiple companies in the Kansas City metropolitan area at Lockton Affinity and Pearl Insurance, both located in Overland Park, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“Jeff’s extensive industry experience and understanding of both the brokerage and underwriting sides of the business give him a valuable perspective on program development,” Kevin Overbey, president of Alliant Employee Benefits, said in the release. “His ability to evaluate risk, structure effective solutions, and build strong client relationships will be a tremendous asset to our clients and team.”

Severino earned a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kansas State University.
