Airlines Seek $50B in Relief Due to COVID-19

The airline trade group Airlines For America is reportedly asking Congress for $50 billion in aid. Domestic carriers are losing $10 billion per month, and air travel demand was said to have dropped 96 percent in April.

Airlines are saying that it is unsustainable for them to be required to operate when there are an average of 17 passengers for a domestic flight.
