AdventHealth South Overland Park Names Its Next CMO

AdventHealth South Overland Park has announced Dr. Michèle Jean-François as its next chief medical officer.

She will take on her new role of CMO effective March 4, according to a release. Before her new role, she was the hospitalist services medical director as well as held responsibilities for recruiting, interviewing, training and supervising hospitalists and nurse practitioners.

Jean-François has more than 10 years of inpatient care experience across AdventHealth Mid-America Region. She was a hospitalist and internal medicine specialist for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission from 2013 to 2021. Jean-François graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

“Having seen the growth and development of AdventHealth South Overland Park from being the new hospital in town to one of the nation’s top hospitals is inspiring because of the people that helped make it happen,” Jean-François said in the release. “I am proud to have the opportunity to lead and work alongside our exceptional medical staff so that we may strive to achieve greater accolades nationally while always earning the complete trust from our patient community.”

In January, AdventHealth appointed Jimmy Bolanos as COO at AdventHealth South Overland Park. Recently the healthcare system announced, Dr. Alan Verrill, the CEO of AdventHealth South Overland Park, will be transitioning the new president and CEO of Advent Health Shawnee Mission, effective Feb. 25.
