A New Company Headquarters for Kansas City

The employee-screening solutions company, Alere eScreen, a subsidiary of Alere Inc., will move its headquarters to Kansas City, bringing with it a capital investment of more than $6.8 million and 30 new jobs in addition to its current staff of 235.

In announcing the move, Missouri Department of Economic Development director, Mike Downing said, “More and more innovative companies like Alere eScreen are heading to Kansas City to connect with talent, access high-speed internet, and benefit from the budding business community.”

Christopher Tarpey, General Manager of Alere eScreen, said his company is looking forward to its Kansas City expansion, saying, “The new facility will allow us to rapidly scale our local organization. The attractive location and progressive office design will further support our company culture and our endeavor in building a world class team here in Kansas City.”

To assist Alere eScreen with the move, the state has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets what a release called, “strict job creation criteria.”
