A Death Punch for WeWork?

Office co-working company WeWork has some very prominent spaces in Downtown Kansas City.

It has a location in the Crossroads’ Corrigan Station development and recently took 101,000 square feet in what is now known as the Lightwell Building, at 1100 Main St.

However, the real estate trade publication Commercial Observer is reporting that the company, which is the largest single office tenant in major cities, such as New York, could be close to going under due to COVID-19 shutdown rules.

WeWork last year pulled its IPO after having what was considered an overblown $47 billion valuation. and Japan-based SoftBank, its main investor, which was also a big backer of Sprint Corp., had to bail out the company
