1 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO, 64108
Kansas City families are joining thousands of people in more than 10 countries around the world for World Vision’s Global 6K for Water on May 19! It is the world’s largest 6K walk for clean water, and Team World Vision’s team in Kansas City is one of the largest in the country. Last year, 400 people in Kansas City raised more than $20,000 as part of this global movement to bring clean water to children.
The distance – 6 kilometers (or about 15 laps around your local track = 3.7 miles) – is significant because it’s the average distance people, often women and young girls, have to walk in the developing world simply to find water each day. And often that water is dirty and the walk can be dangerous.
Sign up with your friends and family, and join us on May 19 as we help bring clean water to children around the world!
