For the past 15 years, SKC has played an instrumental role in the success of hundreds of nonprofit organizations and in shaping a high performing, sustainable nonprofit community. For many organizations with limited resources and staff, necessary business and support services such as accounting, data management, and fundraising can be overwhelming. By providing nonprofits access to these resources at affordable rates, SKC is also a trusted partner for governance leadership and strategy services that enables nonprofit organizations to focus on what they do best – change lives.
KC’s Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Awards provides an opportunity to recognize two nonprofit organizations (one agency with a budget of $1,000,000 or less and one agency with a budget of more than $1,000,000) for their exemplary leadership and to increase awareness within our community about the vital role area nonprofits play in improving the quality of life for all. Additionally, the leadership role board members play in the nomination of their own agency for the award exemplifies the cross-sector collaboration between the for-profit and nonprofit worlds.
