About the Science Matters Brown Bag Forums

Science Matters Brown Bag Forums are monthly lunch-and-learn programs co-sponsored by the Linda Hall Library and the Kansas City Public Library. The events will be held in the Helzberg Auditorium in the Central Library. The forums will focus on science-related topics that impact Kansas Citians. Bring your lunch and join the conversation!

The January 15 program

Bob Grove, President of the Climate Council of Greater Kansas City, will introduce the latest research on global warming and examine solutions that reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and remove excess carbon from the atmosphere through sequestration.

The speaker

Bob Grove, President of the Climate Council, is a professional grassroots organizer, an environmental activist, and an advocate for clean energy, mass transit, and sustainable food choices.  He has worked for many metro area organizations including the Deportation Defense Legal Network, Legal Observer of Greater Kansas City, and the Thomas Hart Benton Missouri Sierra Club.

Admission tickets

The event is free and open to the public; however, e-tickets are required. Please note that the event will be held in the Helzberg Auditorium at the Kansas City Public Library – Central Library at 14th W 10th Street.
