Park University’s athletic programs are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the American Midwest Conference. The University competes in 13 intercollegiate sports: men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, soccer, track and field, and volleyball; men’s baseball; and women’s golf and softball. In 2015-16, Park had 102 academic all-conference honorees, 43 all-conference performers, eight All-Americans, one CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-American and six CoSIDA academic all-district honorees. In addition, 34 Park student-athletes won the NAIA’s most prestigious academic award as Daktronics-NAIA scholar-athletes. The 2014-15 year was highlighted by eight Park athletic programs representing the University in NAIA national championship tournaments and one conference regular-season championship by the softball program. Two athletes were selected as conference player of the year in their respective sports, while two more were tabbed as newcomer of the year and freshman of the year. In addition, Steve Tingler was named AMC Softball Coach of the Year.
