“According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), there were 476,000 new U.S. cases of Lyme disease last year,” reports Judy Campbell, President of the LAGKC.  “The money we raise will go toward grants for those members in our Association who apply to offset some medical expenses that insurance doesn’t pay. Many patients with tick-borne illnesses have failing health, are unable to work and have medical bills that are not paid for by insurance.”
