KC Symphony: Carmina Burana

Friday March 29, 2019 • 8 p.m. • Kauffman Center • TBA

8 p.m.

In the wonderfully indulgent Carmina burana, you’ll hear an irresistible, nonstop and thunderous celebration of life, love and the philosophy of carpe diem performed by your Kansas City Symphony and Chorus. One of the most popular classical works of all time, Carmina burana appears in countless movies, TV shows, commercials and sporting events. This musical extravaganza begins with a kaleidoscope of sound in pieces by two prominent American composers, Sarah Kirkland Snider and Augusta Read Thomas.

The event will take place at the Kauffman Center from March 29 through 31. The first two nights will be at 8 p.m., and Sunday’s performance is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets are not on sale yet.
