Famous for being a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John McEuen makes his first appearance at the Folly Theater with his band The String Wizards. Don’t miss John McEuen and the String Wizards on March 15th at 8 PM as a part of the Folly + The Bridge 90.9 FM Americana Series.

John McEuen has performed over 10,000 concerts, 300 tv shows, and made over 40 albums between his time with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and as a solo performer. Along with his long history, John has racked up four platinum and five gold recognition awards, Grammy nominations, CAM and ACM awards, an Emmy nomination, IBMA record of the year, and guest performed on another 25 albums. His latest release is “Roots Music Made In Brooklyn” in 2016 features some of his favorite artists to play with, including Steve Martin, Skip Ward, John Carter Cash. “Made In Brooklyn” was also a winner of the 2018 Americana Independent Music Award. John McEuen has also released a book called “The Life I’ve Picked“, detailing his history and rise up in folk and banjo music.
