Certified Training for General Communications Tech Level 1 and
In-Building Wireless Offered in October in Kansas City
Like many other tech-focused industries, the land mobile radio (LMR) industry is facing a lack of trained technical staff. Aggravating this issue is the lack of easy access to professional development courses that allow technicians gain certification – or enable those with certifications to renew them. To address this critical shortage, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) is offering two courses from October 21-24 open to anyone in the LMR industry regardless of experience level or job classification for both general technician certification level 1 and BDA/DAS. In just two days each, these courses provide the necessary instruction for Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) certification with a proctored exam at the conclusion. The courses will be presented at the Intercontinental Kansas City at the Plaza, the site of the 2019 Wireless Leadership Summit, an annual conference for executives in private wireless. Courses are:
This course is for anyone interested in learning the fundamental theories, components, installation, maintenance and support of in-building Distributed Antenna Systems. It focuses on the application and optimization of active and passive BDAs used in today’s DAS systems.
This course covers the principal areas of land mobile radio communications that a technician and/or engineer will encounter in the business/industrial and public safety radio fields.
Detailed course information and registration is available online. More information about the Wireless Leadership Summit is available at https://www.enterprisewireless.org/wls.
