Called “the world’s reigning male chorus” by The New Yorker, the San Francisco-based GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble Chanticleer will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2018. Chanticleer is known around the world as “an orchestra of voices” for its seamless blend of 12 male voices ranging from soprano to bass and its original interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz and popular genres, as well as contemporary compositions. The group’s 40th anniversary tour – Then and There, Here and Now – is a panoramic look at Chanticleer’s complete musical history, featuring classical pieces, traditional songs, and modern melodies.

They will be at the Kauffman Center on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $25.50 to $65.50.
