The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City (AACC) will be celebrating the organization’s 20th anniversary at their 15th Annual Awards Gala on Thursday evening, May 10, 2018, at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel, 6100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kansas. The event registration and reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. Joshua Rowland, CEO & Vice Chairman of Lead Bank, will serve as gala’s honorary chairperson.

 

The AACC will be honoring the accomplishments of outstanding local Asian Americans in business, community service, and professional leadership at the gala. Awards will be presented in four categories including Entrepreneur of the Year, Professional Leader of the Year, Civic Leader of the Year and Corporation of the Year.

 

The gala’s keynote speaker will be Ming Tsai, the host and executive producer of the public television cooking show, Simply Ming. Ming is also the author of Blue Ginger: East Meets West Cooking with Ming Tsai, Simply Ming, Ming’s Master Recipes, Simply Ming One-Pot Meals, and Simply Ming in Your Kitchen and is the owner of Blue Ginger, rated by Zagat Restaurant Guide as one of the “Top 5 Most Popular Restaurants.”
