First Call’s annual fundraiser, the Celebration Evening celebrates individuals and family members in recovery. The event includes a raffle, Fund the Need and a guest speaker, Francine Ward.

ABOUT FRANCINE WARD

Francine had all the odds stacked against her from drug and alcohol addiction, living in poverty and being trapped in a life of ill repute. With 30 years in long-term recovery, Francine lives a blessed life and is a pillar of strength and support to those wrestling with addiction. A professional speaker since 1995, Francine has engaged audiences large and small with her compelling story of triumph over insurmountable odds. It is the mission of First Call to reduce the impact of alcohol, drugs and addiction by providing quality resources to individuals, families and the community. Founded in 1958, First Call is a key catalyst for building capacity among 400+ Greater Kansas City area substance abuse, health care, behavioral health and support providers. Services are provided to over 20,000 individuals annually, including substance use disorder assessments, outpatient treatment, recovery services, family services, crisis call center and community prevention services.
