WLX Western Logistics Express Relocates to the Crossroads, Adding 76 Jobs

WLX and Western Logistics Express will relocate to a new headquarters in Kansas City, creating 76 new jobs in the area.

WLX | WLE is an asset-backed supply chain management organization offering truck transportation and logistic solution services. The new headquarters is located in Crown Center Plaza in the Crossroads at 2301 McGee St., according to a release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

The location is over 20,000 square feet, newly furnished and a floor plan for up to 175 employees. WLX | WLE was previously headquartered at at 1401 Iron St. in North Kansas City, however, the company is continuing to hire and has outgrown its former space.

WLX | WLE will also benefit from the Missouri Works program to aid in workforce expansion and retention.

“With the support of the Missouri Works Program, WLX | Western Logistics Express is ready to fuel economic growth and unlock fresh possibilities for our company and the Kansas City community,” Tori Blake, CFO and co-owner of WLX | WLE, said in the release. “This collaboration will enable us to expand operations, generate employment, and contribute to Missouri’s economic development.”

The company said new jobs created for the expanded headquarters will pay an average wage well above the county average, according to the release.
