Westlake Ace Hardware announced the opening of a new location at the former Sears Home & Life in Overland Park.
It is located at 6327 W. 119th Street and will feature approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space. A soft opening is tentatively planned for the second quarter of 2024, according to a release.
The new store will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts inducing Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints; Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools; and Weber, Traeger and Big Green Egg grills and accessories.
Westlake Ace operates 29 stores in the greater Kansas City metropolitan region. Westlake Ace has already soft-opened a new location at 1185 West Santa Fe St. on Dec.1 and another at Lee’s Summit, Mo. store at 3511 SW Market St. on Dec. 15. Grand opening for both locations are scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
“Kansas City is our home, so it’s always a thrill to open a new store here,” president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings Joe Jeffries said. “The new Overland Park store will be located in an established and vibrant part of the metro area.”
