Kansas City-based VanTrust Real Estate is set to begin construction on a nearly 750,000-square-foot facility that will serve as Sephora’s Midwest distribution center.

The build-to-suit facility is 746,672 square feet and will be located on 61 acres at Avon Landings Commerce Park in Avon, Indiana. The targeted completion date is summer 2025, according to a release.

This will be the second project VanTrust and Sephora have had together, with the first being a 713,000-square-foot, 40-acre facility in Las Vegas.

Two years ago, VanTrust acquired 58 acres of the Avon Landings Commerce Park and split development of the park was planned in two phases. Phase one consists of Building 1, a 332,000-square-foot structure, and the addition of two more buildings that will offer approximately 400,000 square feet when completed.

Phase two of the park will be taken all by the Sephora distribution center.

“We are thrilled that Sephora has once again chosen to partner with VanTrust, and we appreciate their confidence in our ability to successfully deliver the project in a timely manner,” VanTrust vice president of development Phil Rasey said in the release. “Avon Landings is a 119-acre master-planned Park with a prime location, near Indianapolis, a dynamic market we continue to invest in. We are pleased that Sephora, one of the best-known retail brands in the world, has chosen to locate its distribution center here.”
