The university of Kansas Health System was named one of the 45 total health systems with strongest finances in the United States.
The University of Kansas Health System was reported to be one of 45 health systems in the country with the strongest financials.
The report studied health systems’ operational metrics and solid financial positions, according to reports from credit rating agencies Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investors Service and S&P Global in 2023.
University of Kansas Health System has an “AA-” rating, according to S&P Global.
The Kansas City-based hospital was the only KC regional health system to make it to the list.
The agency also stated the health system has a solid market presence, a good financial profile and a solid management team. However, certain balance sheet figures remain relatively weak to peers, the rating agency said.
