The University of Kansas Health System announced it will open the new Quivira Campus in Olathe, Ks., sometime in mid-June.

The Quivira Campus, located at 12000 W. 151st St., aims to bring “leading-edge” care to southwest Kansas City and bring more care to the Olathe community, according to a release.

“We are so pleased to see this beautiful, state-of-the-art facility so close to opening its doors to begin seeing patients,” Jason Hannagan, CEO of the health system’s southwest market said. “We value every opportunity to bring leading specialty healthcare to patients close to home and are especially proud of this facility as an early proof point of the benefits made possible by the relationship between the health system and Olathe Health.”

Quivira Medical Pavilion A, the first building on campus, will offer care in orthopedics, physical and occupational therapy, plastic surgery and urology as well as MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray and screening mammogram services, according to a release.

Additional features of the campus include a centralized Level 1 patient check-in desk, 30 exam rooms, four procedure rooms, five physical and occupational therapy rooms, a gymnasium, outpatient lab services and a coffee shop.

Six months after the campus opens, KU Med Center said the facility will add an ambulatory surgery center offering surgeries and procedures in the same specialties plus gynecology.

The Quivira Campus will operate as a cashless facility “for optimal cleanliness and security.”
