U.S. government finalizes long-term lease for Lenexa FDA lab

The General Services Administration has finalized a 20-year lease with Easterly Government Properties Inc. for a new Food and Drug Administration lab in Lenexa, Kan. The 59,690-square-foot building combines office and lab space.

A 20-year lease has been finalized on a Food and Drug Administration laboratory in Lenexa, Kan.

General Services Administration finalized the lease with Easterly Government Properties Inc. for the new 59,690-square-foot U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) laboratory building.

The FDA relocated to the Lenexa facility from its former Kansas City District Laboratory.

The office real estate investment trust won the lease to redevelop the facility, and the approximately $67 million project was substantially completed in the third quarter.
