Two warehouse developments make plans to build in Grandview

Grandview Board of Aldermen approves measures allowing CDM Capital to develop warehouse space in Southpointe Business Park, while Logistics Realty Capital awaits approval from Grandview Planning Commission for similar plans.

Last week the Grandview Board of Aldermen approved measures allowing CDM Capital Asset Group Inc. to take over six acres of land from developer Botts Road Property LLC.

The land sits within Southpointe Business Park, currently under ownership of Botts which is part of Mission-based Bulk Industrial Group.

The buyer has proposed a 16,000-square-foot warehouse and 14,000-square-foot office building. CDM is expected to provide materials and other resources to commercial contractors.

Notes from the meeting show that CDM will expand into the new facility from an existing site it has outgrown.

Logistics Realty Capital LLC has similar plans, hoping to develop an office, warehouse and light manufacturing development on just under 11 acres of land, the name already decided as Grandview Commerce Center.

Logistics Reality is a North Kansas City-based private equity firm and is soon preparing to present a conceptual plan for the development to the Grandview Planning Commission.
