Olathe-based Terracon has named Kevin Green as chief information security officer, leading a team to defend against cybersecurity threats.

As chief information security officer, Green will lead a team responsible for defending against cybersecurity threats, monitoring potential threats, ensuring compliance, and increasing internal security awareness.

“With more than 25 years of experience providing value-added information technology solutions to the architecture, engineering, and consulting industry, Kevin is uniquely qualified to lead Terracon’s efforts to support client service, protect company data, and minimize potential business disruption as we continue to grow,” chief administrative officer at Terracon, Mike Yost, said in a release.

Most recently, he served as manager of information security for Terracon and also held roles in infrastructure architecture as well as network and systems administration. He has spent nearly 14 years of his career with Terracon, having joined the company in 2011 as a network and systems administrator in its Winter Park, Florida office.

Green earned his master’s degree in corporate communications and technology and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Rollins College.

Last year, Terracon embarked on a slew of acquisition deals having acquired five companies. Terracon’s most recent deal was in October when the company acquired Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc., expanding services in the Rocky Mountains and Central and Northern Great Plains.
