Terracon makes another acquisition with Phoenix-based company

Locally headquartered and employee-owned consulting engineering firm Terracon has announced its tenth acquisition in the last three years with the purchase of Environmental Planning Group out of Phoenix, Ariz.

With 150 U.S. offices and over 5,000 employees, Olathe-based Terracon has announced its acquisition of Phoenix-based Environmental Planning Group (EPG).

This acquisition by Terracon is its tenth in the last three years, since 2017.

Since being founded in the mid-60s, Terracon has evolved into a successful multi-discipline firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical and materials services, and has achieved significant expansion through both internal growth and acquisitions over the last few years.

Environmental Planning Group is a consulting company specializing in services including environmental planning and permitting, environmental mitigation and landscape architecture planning and design.

With three other locations nationwide soon to be brought under Terracon, Environmental Planning Group brings to the acquisition around 50 employees.

“EPG brings a tremendous wealth of experience and strong professional presence in the region, further enhancing our environmental engineering and consulting services in the Southwest and Western U.S.,” Gayle Packer, Terracon president and CEO said in a news release. “We’re excited for this great team of professionals to bring their talents to our shared vision of client service, now and in the future.”
