Olathe-based Terracon has acquired The Transtec Group a pavement engineering solutions company based in Austin, Texas.
Terracon’s clients will now have access to Transtec’s specialized pavement engineering, research, testing, and consulting services, according to a release. The Transtec Group develops, manufactures and sells concrete brands such as COMMAND Center.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Terracon is excited to welcome the Transtec team and share their talents and expertise with our clients across the U.S. who are seeking advanced pavement engineering solutions,” Terracon chair, president, and CEO, Gayle Packer, said in a release.
The Transtec Group’s locations in Austin, Texas and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania will now have an infusion of resources throughout the U.S. thanks to the merger.
“After 21 years of working together with matching commitments to our coworkers and clients, Transtec and Terracon saw the vision of what we could achieve together,” Transtec president, Dan Rozycki, said in the release. “Transtec’s mission has always been to improve the state of the practice in pavement engineering. Becoming a Terracon company enables us to fulfill that mission with exponentially greater impact.”
Terracon is an employee-owned, multidiscipline consulting firm with over 7,000 employees in more than 180 locations. In January, Terracon named Kevin Green chief information security officer who will lead a team to defend against cybersecurity threats.
