Industrial developments surge in south Kansas City

The Kansas City region, in particular area near the Interstate 49 corridor, is seeing a burst of industrial development, five commerce and industrial centers in the works, some already under construction.

Industrial development in the Kansas City region has gained attention recently as numerous approved developments are already underway.

Particularly around the Interstate 49 corridor, five industrial developments in the metro have taken root

Kansas City SmartPort tracks buildings, intermodal centers and industrial sites, and notes that the Kansas City region features four major intermodal logistics parks with prepared buildings and sites ready.

Five developments in located in the south Kansas City region that have gained attention include:

  • Blue River Commerce Center in the works by NorthPoint Development
  • Grandview Commerce CenterĀ planned by Logistics Realty Capital LLCĀ 
  • I-49 Industrial Center in planning stages for six industrial buildings by Platform Ventures
  • Raymore Commerce Center in the works by VanTrust Real Estate LLC
  • Southview Commerce Center in the works by NorthPoint Development
