Prior to his new role, Weiland was the senior vice president at BOK Financial for the Kansas City area.
“Sunflower Bank already has a talented team and an established presence in the Kansas City area and I look forward to expanding these even further,” Weiland said.
The Dallas-based Sunflower Bank has $7.7 billion in assets with locations in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Texas.
Sunflower Bank has locations in Lawrence, Leawood, Overland Park and a loan production office in the Briarcliff business district in Kansas City.
“We’re thrilled to have Billy Weiland join us to lead Sunflower Bank’s regional efforts in Kansas City and Eastern Kansas,” Chief Banking Officer for Eastern Banking at Sunflower Bank, Cecil G.
