Stormont Vail Health Receives Fourth ‘Magnet’ Designation



Stormont Vail Health achieved its fourth consecutive Magnet recognition, the health system announced Monday.

Stormont Vail Health attained its fourth Magnet recognition the hospital announced Monday as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program.

Hospitals must reapply for Magnet recognition every four years. Stormont Vail Health received its first designation in 2009, then again in 2014 and 2018.

“Attaining a Magnet designation, the gold standard for nursing programs is proof of the excellent care our team members deliver every day,” vice president and chief nursing officer, Carol Perry said in a release. “We take pride in this designation and thank our team for their contributions. It validates the excellence of our care team and shows the robust health of Stormont Vail.”
