Stormont Vail creates alternative COVID vaccine scheduling option

The integrated health system has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Line. The new method was created to serve as another option for individuals to schedule a vaccine appointment as Stormont continues outreach to eligible persons through the online patient portal system, MyChart.

Stormont Vail Health has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Line as another option for individuals to schedule their vaccine appointment.

COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available based on the allocation Stormont receives from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Shawnee County Health Department.

As additional dose allocations are received, more appointment times will become available through the health system.

Eligible groups currently being served by Stormont Vail include Kansas residents 65 and older. 

Stormont Vail is currently in the process of reaching out to eligible individuals through the online patient portal system, MyChart, to notify them of open appointments to schedule a vaccine.

An MyChart account is set up to send a notification when an individual is eligible to receive the vaccine and when appointment slots open for scheduling.
