BJC HealthCare, based in St. Louis, possesses a decent operating margin when compared to the rest of the nation.
Becker’s Hospital Review put out a ranking of 30 healthcare systems ranked by their operating margins and BJC HealthCare edged right out of the top three ranking being placed in fourth overall.

The healthcare provider is currently sitting with an operating margin of 3.4 percent for the first quarter of the year. Furthermore, BJC HealthCare is operating with a revenue amounting in $1.72 billion and expenses reaching $1.67 billion.
Last week, BJC HealthCare and Saint Luke’s announced the two health systems will partner to bring healthcare to six million Missourians in a joint integrated health system.
In conjunction with Saint Luke’s, the two systems bring in more than $10 billion in revenue.
