Kansas City-based Spencer Fane announced its plans to combine with the firm Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe, establishing Spencer Fane’s first New York-based office.

Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe and its team of 50 attorneys will combine with Spencer Fane effective February 2, according to a release shared with Ingram’s. Golenbock will have access to a combined firm of 700 attorneys and 31 offices across the nation.

“We have long recognized the opportunity to serve clients in the New York market, but we have also been determined to find a group that meets two more important criteria for our firm – aligning with our firm culturally while also adding distinctive value to our clients,” Spencer Fane Chair Patrick Whalen said in the release.

Founded in 1982, Golenbock has practice experience in corporate, M&A, and capital financing work.

“Spencer Fane demonstrates a commitment to excellence and a reputation for innovation that align perfectly with our own,” Golenbock Managing Partner Jeffrey Berger said in the release. “Together, we are determined to provide even greater support and enhanced capabilities to clients at both our firms.”

In October, Spencer Fane announced its last merger deal with Nevada-based Holley Driggs, adding 14 attorneys and bolstering its footprint in Las Vegas.

Spencer Fane ranked No. 75 in the 2025 Ingram’s 100: Kansas City’s Top Private-Sector Companies. The firm generated nearly $321 million in revenue in 2024, an increase of 20.65% compared to the previous year.
