Spencer Fane LLP announced it has added five new partners, including Crystal Howard who joins the firm’s Overland Park location.
In addition to Howard joining the firm’s Overland Park office, partners Robert Mahon and John Moore and associate Xander Curl joined the firm’s St. Louis office and associate Kelley Rowan joined the firm’s Denver office.
The team will all work within the firm’s strong and dynamic Corporate and Business Transactions practice group, according to a release.
Howard, who is returning to Lockton, frequently oversees tax controversy matters before the IRS and state and local taxing authorities and advises businesses on corporate legal needs to achieve their desired goals.
Before joining Lockton, Howard was a tax partner in the corporate services group at Armstrong Teasdale LLP in Kansas City, where she served for over four years. She also worked as a tax partner for Husch Blackwell and as a tax attorney for Spencer Fane from 2014 to 2019.
Howard earned a bachelor’s degree at William Jewell College before earning her Juris Doctor cum laude and Master of Laws from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law.
