Snack manufacturer to build new facility in region, add jobs

A new 150,000-square-foot facility for Pretzels, Inc. is expected to deliver a large number of new jobs. A manufacturer of pretzels and other snack products, the company plans to build its metro production facility in Lawrence, Kan.

Pretzel and snack product manufacturer Pretzels, Inc. will construct its newest facility in the Kansas City metro.

Plans to build a state-of-the-art production facility inside of VenturePark in Lawrence, Kan. is expected to produce a large quantity of new jobs.

Once complete, the building will take up 150,000-square-feet and is anticipated to be in operation by late 2021.

“We are very excited to expand our production footprint and to continue serving our customers with superior capabilities and geographic reach,” Greg Pearson, CEO of Pretzels, Inc. said. “We look forward to becoming a member of the community in Lawrence and the broader Kansas City metro area as we expand our operations and employee base.”

Headquartered in Bluffton, Ind., Pretzels, Inc. has two other existing production facilities, one in Bluffton and another in Plymouth, Ind.

A 120,000-square-foot expansion was completed earlier this year at the Plymouth, Ind. facility.

Laura Kelly. “This project will create good-paying jobs and generate a significant investment for Kansas. My administration is committed to rebuilding our state’s foundation by encouraging businesses like Pretzels, Inc. to choose Kansas.”
