The Taiwanese city of Tainan, that nation’s sister city to Kansas City, has delivered thousands of pieces of personal protective equipment to health-care workers at Truman Medical Center, a gift matched by a local group.
Nearly 3,000 masks and 300 pairs of eye protection arrived this week from Taiwan to help health-care workers here remain safe during the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
And doubling that gift, the Taiwanese Association of Kansas City matched that mask donation, bringing to 5,800 the number of masks that reached TMC.
